My tortuous career took me back to teach maths at the old school
from 1973 until 1980 when I moved as a Head of Department to Perthshire.
I started teaching maths in 1971 in East Lothian and then moved to Heriot's. In Perthshire I was Head of
Department at Perth High School (1980 - 1985) and then spent the next 20 years as Head of Maths at Morrison's
Academy being given an honorary membership of the Morrisonian F.P. club when I retired in 2004 - what a traitor!!
After retirement I re-married (sadly my first wife died in 1999) and moved down to Kelso in the Scottish Borders where I can
forget about work and give much rewarding time to two fine grandsons and two lovely grand-daughters.
